The RadioPublic button

In this series, I’m highlighting features in Podiant you might not know about. First up, it’s a new one, thanks to our lovely friends at RadioPublic.

RadioPublic is a free, easy-to-use podcast listening app that works for everyone, everywhere in the world. Programs like Paid Listens demonstrate their commitment to valuing creators’ work. They’re a public benefit corporation founded by PRX, with a mission to help listeners discover, engage with and reward podcasters.

You may already know that you can add Subscribe buttons for Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, and other apps and directories, to your podcast’s website via the settings menu in your dashboard. Right now, you have to submit your podcast to each directory (we can help with that), and paste the link they give you into the relevant box.

But as an open platform, RadioPublic allows us to automatically create a button that links listeners directly through to the app, without you having to lift a finger. They pull the latest episodes from your RSS feed and show them in their beautiful, simple player.

Making listeners’ lives easier means more people are likely to listen!
